isabelle + steve | a surprise proposal

She told him he could be a tad more romantic.

Little did she know... he had big plans to take her advice.

It was one of those relationships where everyone knew they would someday be married. In terms of a proposal, Isabelle only told him one thing... she wasn't picky about how he would propose, as long as he put a little bit of thought into it. In my opinion...he knocked it out of the park.

On the morning of April 14th, 2012, he told Isabelle that she had exactly an hour and fifteen minutes to get showered, dressed, and looking her very cutest. He helped her pick out an outfit, and they were on their way to meet me at Pinhey's Point.

My favourite part was pretending to be meeting Steve for the very first time, when in reality we met at Starbucks and hashed out all of the details for over two hours :)

As the three of us walking down by the water, we small-talked about how they live in Barrhaven (already knew that!), how they have been together for three and a half years (knew that too!), and how Isabelle had no idea about his plans.

Oh my gosh I just love the chemistry between these two ♥...

As soon as we hit this spot, with the gorgeous light, the perfect little fence in the background...I knew this is where Steve would make his move.

This my of the BEST moments of this whole shoot. I mean, look at Steve's face, and Isabelle has absolutely no gives me butterflies.

♥ love this so much.

So this is where Steve and I give each other a big high five and yell "WE DID IT!" haha, Isabelle was just in this state of shock and bliss, it was adorable.

We continued with our session, officially making it an engagement session now :)

I'm 100% NOT exaggerating when I say that these two couldn't contain their smiles, love.

The ring...♥ I remember Steve told me that he was so excited to give it to her, and it was so clear that she LOVES it :)

Steve & Isabelle...I'm not sure if I can properly express how happy I am for the two of you ♥ it was an absolute honour to be able to photograph your proposal. I have the best job in the world!

Let's leave a little note to
congratulate the newly engaged couple :)
