holly + tony | downtown ottawa and rideau canal engagement session

Holly & Tony came to me by way of my dear friend Shannon from Kennedy Event Planning. "I have an amazing couple for you!" she said, and included an email address where I could get in touch with Holly.

Since then we've been keeping in touch by email and checking in on each other's lives over social media. I have seriously been counting down the days until we could finally meet for real for our downtown engagement session. The way the sun poured through the canal that night, skipping across the water and landing in Holly's platinum blonde curls -- every single shot was gold.

And since it was impossible to narrow down, I'm sharing a ton of photos of this sweet couple today! Holly & Tony, September 9 is going to be a dream come true!

Even the light-testing, in-between shots of these two are on point.

When I took this photo I showed it to Tony and said, "is she for real?" He just shook his head and said, "I know. That's Holly for ya."

This is true golden hour here! You can't beat that dreamy sunset colouring.

From generation to generation... This ring was passed down to Tony from his grandmother, and fits like Cinderella's slipper on Holly's perfectly manicured finger.

I love that you can see the Shaw Centre in this shot, which is the spot where they'll be saying "I do!" The fact that it's not even two months away blows my mind.

So friends, you're not wrong in thinking that I've been spending basically all of my time on the canal these days. Starting with Jasmine & Jason, and of course Kelly & Peter, and now the lovely Holly & Tony

But I have some great news -- there's another one in the series! Get ready to meet Michelle & Mike, and see if I can truly make the same location look entirely different FOUR TIMES in the last 2 weeks ;)

marisa + bryce | wedding at next restaurant in stittsville

It's #WeddingWednesday! Just kidding, you know I don't generally subscribe to days-of-the-week blog posts, however it does happen to be Wednesday and I'm about to share some photos from Marisa & Bryce's lovely wedding in the West End.

Let's call it what it is, #WestEndWeddingWednesday -- HERE WE GO! This gorgeous day started out at the Brookstreet Hotel for bridal preparations and a first look on the golf course. Marisa had the most beautiful set of details, including a killer pair of Manolos and a monogrammed Mrs. Box. What stood out the most though, was how excited she was to marry Bryce! I've honestly never seen a bride wear a smile alllll day like Marisa.

It was important for Marisa and Bryce to get to spend as much time with their guests as possible. Naturally, a first look was in order. By the time the ceremony began, all of their photos were done! Even the family photos! It gave them tons of time to enjoy the insanely delish appetizers and cocktails at NeXT

Fave! Look how gorgeous those Showpony curls are in the sun :)

Fun fact, this venue is just a quick walk from my home in Stittsville! Ryan and I walk over there for dinner and drinks pretty often :) The food is UNREAL, you simply must go!

During the cocktail hour, Marisa & Bryce's guests had a chance to try their signature cocktail, the "Bora Bora." And this is the part where you get to guess where they're headed for their honeymoon...!

My beautiful friend Julie from Chic Wedding Planning working on those final touches. One of her team members, Ashley, oversaw the entire evening. and together, it was a seriously well oiled machine.

Marisa & Bryce -- I am picturing you guys living like the Kardashians in one of those huts with the long bridge over the ocean, opening this blog post on your phones while drinking the "Bora Bora." I hope I'm right ;) Love you guys! Thank you so much for having me on your amazing day! I am honoured to sit amongst the other names of your vendor list. LOVE!
