I sat on my kitchen counter with my cell to my ear, chatting away..

"Who are you talking to?" Ryan mouthed to me. I'm sure he thought it was bizarre to chat about wedding invites and late nights and what it's like to be a young twenty-something with a client, but when I told him it was Monique, he got it.

She is simply one of the sweetest people I've ever met, and I was so excited to finally meet her on the morning of our shoot! She introduced me to her lovely husband, her truly inspiring in-laws, and of course...her little cutie pie, Alex.

Most little ones take a couple minutes to warm up, but not this guy! He gave me his biggest and brightest smiles right off the bat, and he had me wrapped around his little finger.

Watch out you two...he's gonna be a heartbreaker!

Alex adored his grandparents more than I can describe, it was the sweetest thing to see (& photograph).

I feel so lucky to have spent my Sunday afternoon playing around in the leaves with Elizabeth, John, and their little munchkin Theo...seriously, I have the BEST job!

Not only was the scenery picture perfect, but so was the family. Their beautifully coordinated fall outfits, beaming smiles, and frequent cheek-kisses made me so happy from behind the camera.

Just TOO adorable!

This little guy is about to get up and RUN! But for now, he's fine getting a bit of help from mom & dad.

Elizabeth pulled out a little red truck from her mommy-bag-of-tricks...

And next out of the bag...a delicious apple to munch on. Those two little bottom teeth really got in there!

And then a golden retriever decided to run over, join in, and steal Theo's apple before he left...as if this shoot wasn't already being considered for a Sears catalogue.

WARDROBE CHANGE! Time to put Theo in his very first Halloween costume. I may or may not have been laughing behind my camera at this point.

Elizabeth & John, thank you SO much for letting me into your world for an afternoon...you have such a beautiful family and I would follow you guys around anywhere!

Oh and of course...a big HAPPY HALLOWEEN to you all!

shop 'til you drop + laugh 'til you cry

After my Saturday morning, I headed over to Orleans to pick up my wedding dress (woo! checking that off the list feels great), and met up with Shannon and Kaytlin, you know...since I was in the neighbourhood.

We had some business to attend to first; mainly getting a few shots for some LKP stuff that is currently in the works. But after that, we were free to goof off, make stupid faces, and get stuck in trees.

We just laugh and laugh and laugh, thanks to Kaytlin's dance moves.

Oh yeah...that part about getting stuck in trees? This is what I was talking about.

After this, we packed up our stuff and hit the mall, for some pretty hefty shopping.

This is definitely one of my favourite places to shoot, and this family was so down to earth and easy going. You guys made my job super easy!
