there's something in the water (MTH countdown is on!)

There must be something in the water...

Because lately I've been waking up with purpose. I've been blogging before 8am, hitting the gym every morning, and working diligently in the afternoons.

I have visions of redesigning my blog and completely rebranding this little business I've made.

I have dreams of cleaning out every cupboard in my home in a single afternoon.

I feel strange urges, telling me that I totally HAVE TO go out and hunt around in thrift shops to buy props like cute bowls and napkins so that I can learn to do food photography.

I mean...food photography? Since when is that at the top of my list of priorities...

It's probably just the off-season starting to set in. I have more free time and I've been really thriving on it. The only problem is...I feel like I have too many ideas bouncing around in my head and I don't know how to channel the creative energy in a way that is useful. I literally make lists and lists of "good ideas" or "things I NEED to do before wedding season hits"...but sometimes it seems like too much in a short period of time.

And then one day, this popped up in my instagram feed:

You better believe I did a double take. Lara Casey AND Nancy RayIt's no secret I follow these two ladies OBSESSIVELY...so the thought of them being in the same place, at the same time, at an event that I could totally attend...it seemed like a no brainer.

I booked my ticket on the spot, and marked my calendar for an event that would surely change everything about the way I set goals and manage my creativity.

I mean, look at their motto...

CRUSH YOUR FEARS,
HARNESS YOUR PASSION,
MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Since booking my ticket to this conference, I've been trying to get myself prepared to answer some of the questions that might come up during my time in North Carolina, specifically things like:

What are your goals?
What is your brand?
What makes you different from everyone else?
and What are you afraid of?

I can't wait for this experience...I feel like it's going to be a wonderful couple of days. March 13th can't come soon enough!
