spectacular florals of 2018

We're not even halfway through the year in review series folks, but here's PART THREE! So many of you have been telling me that you're basically living for these bright and colourful posts during the chilly Winter days of December. That makes me incredibly grateful to hear.

In the wake of everything being icy and white, this post is bound to bring some pep to your step because it's...FLORALS!! This year the floral roundup is not just my favourite bouquets, because 2018 has seriously delivered the most incredible florals in more ways than ever before, including gigantic floral installations, elaborate tablescapes, and ceremony arches that still take my breath away.

To all the florists who make these beautiful photos possible, I solute you! Let's kick off with this bouquet by The Design Co. Florals, perched in a ridiculously gorge copper urn that just happened to be hanging out in the Andaz Suite at Meghan & Shaun's wedding prep:

Katherine from Pollen Nation Floral Studio speaks directly to my soul with this colourful and lush arch from Kate & Mitch's wedding at Evermore:

Kristen holds this Design Co. bouquet like nobody's business:

And just look what was waiting for her in the reception at The Westin Twenty-Two...

The sunshine and the dresses and those beautiful happy faces -- I love this photo! Made even better with these Pollen Nation bouquets:

Winter bouquets are tough to nail perfectly, but this one by Stoneblossom from Whitney's city hall wedding is very elegant:

Katherine outdid herself with this doorway installation at Mill Street Brewpub for Sarah & Alex's wedding:

Suuuuper closeup shot of Sarah's autumn bouquet by Acanthus Floral & Botanicals in Almonte. These details are my favourite!

You already saw her bouquet but...what's the harm in a second look:

Didn't know a bouquet could match a pair of shoes so well!

Another perfect ceremony arch by Pollen Nation at Evermore for Kaylie & Pearson!! Somehow she still manages to show me flowers I've never seen before...

Oh, and did I mention the florals continued into their Evermore reception with this beautiful welcome table embellished by Makin'It Lovely...

I can't get enough of this icy blue bridesmaids look, which pairs perfectly with a pop of pink and orange. Maeghan's Aunt is a florist at Untamed Arrangements and made all of these florals for her!

Whoever can name this pretty bloom gets a gold star because it's a new fave after working on Kelsey & Ian's wedding with florals by Hunt and Gather:

Green and white as far as the eye can see at Katie & Dan's wedding. All of the florals are by Autumn's Fine Flowers -- love how they pair with the gold and blush dresses for the girls:

And in stark contrast, this next wedding by The Design Co. is all about that warm and vibrant feel, which glows in the candlelight of the Horticulture Building at Jaymee & Graham's wedding:

Have you ever seen a bouquet that screams *spring* more than this one? My first opportunity of the season to work with Pollen Nation and as you know, not my last:

It's pretty spectacular when vines climb up the walls everywhere you look. This attention to detail just *has* to be Stacey from The Design Co.

Literally floored by the florals at Catherine & Phil's wedding. To the ladies at L'Orangerie -- you are just divine!

A closer look from the morning:

These little guys never get enough credit...

A colour palette to swoon over:

Michelle's bouquet by LSP Designs got a bit of extra love with this heirloom necklace:

More bouquets with tiny blue berries in 2019, please:

Essentially a mini bouquet on the cake? This beauty by The Girl With The Most Cake was made even more lovely by blooms from Pollen Nation:

It's not everyday that a bouquet in black and white can hold it's own...

Oh hi. Just your everyday head table floral instal:

If I were going to name a flower of 2018, it would be this guy. He made an appearance in 2 styled shoots and 4 real weddings this year!

Icy blue and greenery heaven from this Toronto wedding by Coquette Studios!

Unique bouts for Zach and his boys by Wedecor:

Which translated beautifully into bouquets for the girls...

As well as elegant chairs and table decor at the Horticulture Building wedding reception:

I'm hoping this golden trend will continue into 2019 and that we see more modern bouquets like this baby by Pollen Nation!

I know that this is a bouquet shot, but their beautiful smiles still steal the show...

You saw the bouquet version, here's the barrel lookalike...

The bouquet doesn't always have to be at the forefront of the frame to steal the show...

But it doesn't hurt:

An elegant jungle suspended from the ceiling -- it takes many hands and creative minds to make this happen, and I adore the entire team:

Same venue, but with a totally different look and feel!!

Sarah & Matthew -- you guys pulled together the most elegant Fall look! The bouquet, the tie, the navy suit, and the sunshine in your hair... each colour more beautiful than the last.

The goal for this post was simple: to highlight the incredible work performed by floral stylists everywhere, and breathe a little life into your Monday afternoon. I hope that has been achieved! xo

NEXT UP: dogs, cats, and... babies?!
It's happening friends. And it's a goodie.
