We were like passing ships, except I was sleeping while she was sweating. Whitney and I discovered our mutual love for The Dailey Method while never actually attending any of the same classes. She's an early riser, you see, joined by her perfect workout partner (& life partner) Kevin, whereas I favour the mid-afternoon classes.
I was so excited to hear about her plans for an off-beat and personalized wedding -- especially the part about it being a two day affair! For the first portion of the celebration: an intimate court house ceremony with lunch to follow. They were saving their feet for dancing on Saturday night, where a larger group would join for dinner in an upscale restaurant close to downtown. I'm seeing more and more couples skip out on tradition in favour of creating a day that's perfectly "them" and it lights my heart ablaze.
I am pretty excited to share part one of Whitney & Kevin's wedding with you today! Tomorrow I'll join them for part two, and promise to share it all on the blog next week. For now, enjoy some classic Old Hollywood love that will surely warm your winter heart!
Obsessing over every part of this bouquet!
I spy an engagement photo in the background ;)
These menu cards for lunch at Whalesbone -- so in love!
Tasked with getting the Groom to look his best ;)
My favourite photo from the day. If you know Whitney personally, you know she radiates this kind of joy in everything she does.
This photo belongs in a different decade.
Inside the courthouse, Whitney's Uncle officiated their ceremony in the library chambers. It was heartfelt and warm, and brought Whitney's sisters to tears.
And with some minutes to spare before their lunch reservation, we snagged some photos of their very favourite people.
These girls are making Winter look oh so good.
Whit & Kev -- hope this little surprise made your afternoon! Cannot WAIT to hang with you tomorrow <3
