kate + mitch | the happiest evermore wedding on a perfect august day

This day has been much anticipated. I can't even tell you the number of texts and instagram DM's and Facebook messages I've received over the last week and a half asking for the same exact thing: MORE Kate & Mitch photos, please!!

I love when a group is excited about reliving their friends' wedding day, but I love even more when those people shower my couples' lives with well-wishes and joyful celebrations that start early and never really fade away.

For Kate and Mitch, on their gorgeous wedding day in August, there will never be enough words to describe the beauty. Thankfully, photos exist and have this funny little way of holding onto our favourite happy memories. Well, friends, this post is just that: their very favourite day, frozen in time. Here we go: the wedding of Kate & Mitch!

Show me a happier group of ladies. I'll wait.

Lord only knows the excitement I felt when Kate told me she had booked Pollen Nation for her wedding florals! I seriously can't wait to see every bouquet this woman creates. Love her!!

Not a detail was spared...

I don't usually share this many photos of the prep but I can't help it! Every moment was so sweet and thoughtful.

Naturally my beautiful Kate would have to wear a pair of Sarah Walsh earrings to complete the ensemble:

When I look back on this day I will remember these things:

1. Kate sitting in this chair, laughing and drinking pink champagne with her dress like a creampuff bunched all around her.

2. The beautiful testaments that were scattered throughout, honouring Kate's father who sadly couldn't be with her on the day.

And just a few floors below at the Brookstreet Hotel:

A few handsome men making the final adjustment to their wedding day best.

The ceremony and reception took place in Almonte at Evermore Weddings & Events. It has always been a beautiful property but it looked extra gorgeous thanks to all of the stunning florals by Pollen Nation!

So gorgeous...

A radiant Kate ready to walk down the aisle!

Now friends, I hope you're sitting down and enjoying a nice cup of coffee in order to scroll through the next part. Be prepared for a photo recap of one of the sweetest, most sentimental ceremonies ever:

The Carkners have never looked better!

While Kate & Mitch enjoyed a quiet moment as newlyweds, I caught up with this adorable couple who has just celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Remember Kelly and Adam?! I miss them terribly!

And did I mention that Meghan and Shaun are getting married in less than a month?! Cannot wait to see Meg all done up and rendezvous with all of my favourite bridesmaids once again <3

Doesn't get more perfect than this...

This group was so much fun -- they braved the heat and did so with grace (& cocktail napkins for sweat removal...)

Oh my gosh these girls are everything!! I have loved spending a week looking at their beautiful faces at the editing desk. They brought so much love and life to this day and took away any possible stress for their girl, Kate.

They are the epitome of strong women supporting each other.

Can we get a zoom in on that face, though?

Big heart, tiny person. Kate is some sort of bridal goddess who looks stunning from every angle.

A perfect night to open the barn doors and let the breeze wash over the guests during dinner.

One of my faves from the day! I'm obsessed with this head table placement.

My beautiful friend and Kate's maid of honour, Catherine, gave the most touching speech that left everyone in stitches and tears alike.

She referred to Kate as her twin soul, and reflected on what it has been like to be with her through thick and thin over so many years. She said that if everyone had a friend like Kate the world would be a better, happier, and braver place.

No one told me Mama Lalu is such a great storyteller!

Kate & Mitch, I knew from the moment I saw the two of you playing ping pong together at that random bar a few years ago, that you would one day be bringing that same joie-de-vivre to a wedding day. Kate, it's the way you dance through life, and Mitch, it's the way you hold her hand while she does it.

I have been so blessed to witness your love story over the last few years. Like Catty said, I truly believe the world is a better place because love like yours exists. I love you both and wish you the BEST life together as best friends, and now as husband and wife!
