I can recite a wedding ceremony with my eyes closed and after being spun around 5 times. Think of it as a frequent flyer who knows the safety demonstration forwards and backwards. I thought I'd seen it all, until last weekend of course, when I photographed my first ceremony that was entirely in French.
I knew the important phrases that meant "the rings, please" or "you may now kiss the Bride," but without that inside-and-out understanding of the language, I found myself forced to focus in on body language more than ever. I am so happy with how Catherine & Phil's wedding day went down, it was meaningful and colourful and I got to meet the other loves of Catherine's life (her cats!). I learned a handful of new French words and phrases and came away feeling so pleased that another love story was captured <3
Congratulations to Catherine & Phil! I can't think of a better wedding to wrap up a triple header wedding weekend -- you guys are so awesome!
All of the florals in this post were arranged by the lovely ladies of Orangerie. These gorgeous colours made every photo pop!
Seriously though, every time I get to photograph a Hayley Paige gown I'm 10/10 grateful.
These are perhaps the tiniest details ever!! I loved the matching dates on their wedding bands:
One of my favourites from the day!
Officially husband and wife! This next part was extra fun, Catherine and Phil whipped across town in a sports car borrowed from Catherine's uncle. I love that they shared a few moments just the two of them -- that's the stuff you remember forever!
A cozy reception was held at The Urban Element off Parkdale.
Blessed with another golden sunset for this happy pair of newlyweds! I am obsessed with July weddings for this very reason...
Catherine & Phil -- what a beautiful day! It was such a pleasure to be with you to document and celebrate your wedding. I hope you stayed out all night sipping champagne and having bites of that delicious cake! All my love for the happiest life together <3
