1. Yoga in the mornings. This one is new for me, as I've only been doing it for about 2 weeks. It all started when my neck hurt after sleeping on my stomach for an entire night, which lead me to a "Yoga for Stretching" video on youtube. I'm now starting my days with 1 hour of flow yoga, and it's reminding me to breathe and keep my thoughts very simple. My yoga mat now has a semi-permanent home on my office floor. I am in love. 2. Reading on the front porch. We don't have patio furniture (that's a project for NEXT Summer). But one day I put my Poang chair out on the porch and stared reading. I'm now hooked, and on a nice day I probably spend about 2 hours out there. I'm currently reading two books, by the way: On Beauty by Zadie Smith, and Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple.
3. Sleeping in. Beans has been auditing a client in Perth this whole week, and since it's a FULL hour each way, he has been taking the car. Normally I'm up with him at about 7ish, packing his lunch, helping him make breakfast, and then driving him into the office. But for the last 5 days, I've been waking up all on my own (as early as 8am one day and as late as 10:45am another!). It reminds me of life during my University days...but at the same time, I miss my mornings with my wonderful husband :)
