makin'it lovely | showroom tour and modern headshots

I've been bugging her for weeks, saying "Mel! The showroom is SURELY done by now!" But being the perfectionist she is, she kept putting off the studio tour, making time for small adjustments and endless re-arranging to ultimately feature beautiful details in every nook and cranny. 

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing my beautiful friend Melissa, in a space that's truly a labor of love. The brand new Makin'It Lovely showroom is home to a vast collection of incredible decor pieces and furniture, available to rent for weddings & events. It's basically heaven for anyone who obsesses over all things white, gold, and blush pink.

I am so excited to share some photos from this amazing space and the even lovelier woman behind it all!

Beautiful Mel -- I adore you and I thank my lucky stars that we were seated together over dinner at that wedding in 2014. Watching your business thrive has been a pleasure and an inspiration, and I am so thankful to have you in my life. With Miguel's help, you've turned the space into a warm and cozy environment that your clients will love. 

Thank you for allowing me to document this moment in your career. I hope you feel proud, because I most certainly do. Love!
