You might have read the heartbreaking tale of the shattered 50mm lens on my instagram last week, but if you didn't, allow me to catch you up. Out of absolutely nowhere the rings on the bottom of my very favourite lens decided to peace out and reveal a bunch of mechanical mumbo jumbo that means nothing to me. It can probably be professionally rescued, but to be honest it doesn't owe me a single thing after 7 beautiful years together.
So when I ordered a new one and saw that it would arrive just in time for me to leave for Kelly & Peter's engagement, I knew it was meant to be.
This engagement session is one of my favourites from the entire season so far. It's the perfect example that even though the sunset wasn't visible, golden hour still prevails to reveal gorgeous colours at dusk. Kelly and Peter are an intelligent, witty power-couple who remind me that I have the best roster of clients out there. They are so cool that it's a treat a be around them. September is really hurrying on up which makes me excited about their wedding at Mill Street!
Peter proposed with his grandmother's ring and a promise that Kelly could use it to design the ring of her dreams. That, friends, is romance.
When can you get the entire pavilion to yourself for an engagement session? NEVER! This was a treat.
Every last detail, perfection.
Happy Monday, friends!! If this shoot is an indication of how the week will be, then I'm pretty jazzed.
