Jordy & Kevin's wedding was joyful in every way. I've never seen a bride as happy as Jordy, or a groom as excited for his bride to walk down the aisle as Kevin. That's what happens when you find yourself marrying the love of your life after being together for TEN YEARS.
May 27th was my first sunshiny wedding of the year, and man oh man was I excited to see that blue sky. It's been way too long since I've photographed a bouquet of peonies in the sunlight, or shot a group of bridesmaids in flowy pink gowns. I am so excited to share a beautiful collection of my favourite photos from Jordy & Kevin's best day.
Ladies. Get ready to tear up because there's something about this bridal prep spot that you need to know.
Jordy's parents surprised her by turning her childhood bedroom into a bridal suite for her to get ready on the wedding day. They painted the walls, ripped out the carpets, and replaced the door, revealing this bright and beautiful space you see here. I just thought that was the sweetest thing I've ever heard, and loved shooting Jordy's details in here.
Jordy had a few options for what earrings and necklace she would wear that day, but ultimately decided on a simple set that was a gift for her Mom from her Dad. My heart!

The ceremony and reception were held at Stanley's Olde Maple Lane Farm. I love this property and have only the best things to say about the staff & customer service. It's so important to me that a venue treat our couple like a King and Queen, and the crew at Stanley's went above and beyond.
Such a gorgeous setting for a ceremony! Look at that sun peeking through the clouds, just in time for a first kiss.
And then the bubbles started...

This giant group made my job so easy. I love coming away from a wedding party shoot and having a whole crew of new friends.
This is the part where I asked the guys if they had any requests. And for the first time in over 7 years, they answered with "a boyband poster". For some reason this photo makes me so happy.
Flower's Talk -- have I told you yet today that I love you?
And then he ate the entire bouquet in one bite. JK. But it was a distinct possibility.
Jordy & Kevin -- you guys are amazing. I just adored hanging out with you last weekend, and I'm so excited about the marriage you'll build together. You are soulmates through and through. Thank you for everything!

OMG Laura what can I say..You have truly captured the day..
