It all started with a flat tire. I drove to Blackburn Hamlet for a newborn session and got a flat tire on a residential street, just as I was pulling up to the house. Thankfully it didn't interfere with my shoot, but it was definitely a 6-hour setback for the rest of my day. I called my girl Sarah Walsh and made plans to grab lunch and a much needed glass of wine while the car was being repaired.
As we split the mediterranean goat cheese platter I looked out the window and said, "I'm sick of this view. Can we please go on a trip?" Gotta love having friends who are SELF-EMPLOYED and always up for a spontaneous couple days. Minutes later we were scrolling through flights on our phones. That afternoon, we booked our flights. 5 days later and we'd be in MIAMI!
This is the stuff that memories are made of. My lululemon water bottle reminds me everyday that friends are more important than money, so here's to a little bit of reckless spending in the name of quality girl time by the pool. By the time this post goes live, we will be on a plane and headed towards the beach. I am so excited!
So with that, goodbye Ottawa, and hello SOUTH BEACH!
I promise to drink a margarita for you!
P.S. If you're reading this in a cubicle and thinking, "I would love to be self-employed. How do I make this happen?!" then I would highly recommend the Intro to Blogging workshop, which can be your first investment into that business you've always dreamed of starting.
I've been exactly where you are, dreaming of quitting my day job so that I could be the boss of my own life. Hang in there girl, you can do anything you put your mind to!
