Nicole is my brand-spankin' new office helper :) AKA she's a co-op student from Algonquin who has been hanging out with me for the last couple weeks to figure out the ins and outs of the wedding photography industry!

WHAT'S THE WEIRDEST THING ABOUT YOU:
(laughs) I'm just really weird in general! Hmm...I'm cold...like, all the time. If someone is warm, I'll just hold onto them forever if I could! Is that weird?
HOW DID YOU FIRST GET STARTED IN PHOTOGRAPHY?
I've been playing around with a camera since elementary school, and never really thought much about it until Grade 12. I took photography in high school and that's when I was suddenly like...oh, I can totally do this for a living.
TELL ME A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT YOUR PROGRAM?
It's more of a commercial program, more meant for shooting models, studio lighting...whereas I'm more into natural lighting and outdoor portraits. I love all the business aspects that they teach us, like entrepreneurship class!
WHERE WOULD YOU LOVE TO SEE YOURSELF IN THE PHOTOGRAPHY WORLD?
If I were to continue in photography, I'd love to own my business, primarily for shooting weddings and engagements. On a completely opposite scale though...maybe concert photography, because of how much I love music. It's totally out of my element, but I love it at the same time.
IF YOU WEREN'T STUDYING PHOTOGRAPHY, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
I would probably be working with music artists, either on the recording side, or music management.
FAVOURITE THINGS TO SHOOT:
Horses! My pets! Weddings and engagement too for sure... Also just heading downtown to do mass picture taking of urban stuff.
FAVOURITE LENS:
18-200mm f4.5-5.6. I like having the variety, without having to switch lenses...maybe that's a problem with laziness lol.
WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO GET OUT OF YOUR PLACEMENT?
I'm curious about the whole industry of small businesses, because I love the blogging and social networking aspect as well. I want to figure out what's out there, so I can figure out what's really me.
