I first met Julia while shooting a wedding in 2012 (how crazy long ago was that?!). She was a beautiful bridesmaid and she quickly became my go-to person on Emma's wedding day. If I needed to know who a particular family member was, I asked Julia. If I needed help decluttering the bride prep area, Julia was my girl.
The next Spring she booked one of my mini sessions, joking that she could use a good photo or two for a dating profile. The next time I saw Julia was the following Spring for another mini session, but this time...she had a BOY with her! I liked Jeff immediately and I could see how happy he made her.

I remember vividly sitting in a beach chair in Florida over the Christmas break, reading an email from Julia that said, "WE'RE ENGAGED!" (with a few more exclamation marks). I am so excited to be sharing their engagement photos today, and even more excited to document their 2016 wedding. Enjoy!
Julia's had her hair and makeup done by the absolute BEST. Lori from Showpony said her hair would be "hurricane proof" for this rainy, windy session and she didn't lie. Shannon from One Fine Beauty made Julia even more beautiful than she already is. I am so happy these girls are going to be a part of the wedding day next year!
I am so proud of these two for braving a rainy evening for their engagement photos. The three of us now believe that we will be rewarded with super sunny skies on the wedding day just because of this good karma :)
