My husband and I share very few words after a wedding day. He's spent the day mostly alone and so doesn't necessarily have all the social interaction vibes to pass my way, and I've spent the day being so OVERLY extroverted and social and professional and passionate, which makes it easy for us both to enjoy a few moments of silence before we fall asleep.
On any given wedding day, he greets me with a smile and asks me how it went. I end up boiling it down to a few small sentences; a big idea or two from the last 14 hours. After Laura and Patrick's wedding, I had even less words than usual. I replied that it was "perfectly lovely, in every way." They're madly in love, had the most perfect June weather, a stunning sunset, beautiful decor, and gorgeous details.
