"I am so excited for tomorrow."
Pascal said it with confidence, in a room full of their favourite people. Yes, the wedding day was wonderful, but it was the marriage that he was most excited about. The everyday stuff, the mundane -- they were at the beginning of their lifetime together, and they already knew that this was the good part.
Immediately following their speech, Sarah and Pascal invited all couples up to the dance floor for a slow dance, while a slideshow cycled through wedding photos dating back a few generations. The couples clapped and "awwww'd" when they saw photos of people they recognized. Big hair, frilly dresses, tulle-filled head tables... It was a reminder that wedding days end, but marriage lasts. The DJ asked couples to leave the dance floor if they hadn't been married longer than a year. Then 2 years, 5 years, 10 years. The dance floor was getting smaller and smaller, until the last couple stood, having been married for 60 years. And that's when Sarah handed off her bouquet. It was a touching moment; one I won't forget for a long, long time.
Congratulations, Sarah & Pascal -- you deserve all the love you feel around you. It was such a pleasure to be invited into your celebration, and I hope you LOVE this peek into your collection. Enjoy your time in Prince Edward County <3 I'll be thinking of you!THE CREATIVE TEAM:
