brittany + zach | walk in the woods couple session


Brittany and Zach...where do I begin? I wrote a little bit about my friendship with Brittany when I did some photos for them last September, but so much has changed since then! 

When I look back at the couple session by the art gallery downtown, I feel like I know that girl SO much better now. I know more about her kind heart and her generosity towards others. I know more about how much she loves Zach. And I feel incredibly lucky that Coop gets to have her as one of his many aunties.

I've said this many times before...but photographing friends is such an honour. And I don't take it lightly. Please enjoy a few shots of one handsome devil and his stunning girl, who happens to be one of my best friends in the entire world. LOVE YOU GUYS!

jamie + chris | moodie trail engagement


Jamie and Chris are getting married in June and I'm so honoured to be photographing their day!! We took a walk through a trail off Moodie Drive with their two pups for an engagement shoot. I'm in love with the results :)

Can't wait to see these two as bride and groom next Summer!

We found the very last fall tree...a beacon of yellow light amidst an otherwise bare forest.

this time of year...


I love this time of year... The way the light gets a little softer, the way the sunsets can make you feel warm again. I love this space between the heart of fall and the beginning of winter. 

And it also marks crazy-busy-booking-season, which is simply the best. It's a different kind of busy than the wedding season -- less shooting and editing, more emails. It's the time when I get introduced to the amazing couples that I'll be working with the next year. 

When my clients ask when they should do their engagement session, I always tell them not to shy away from November. I tell them not to be scared of the fallen leaves, the muddy roads, the morning frost... Instead, get cozied up in a thick knit sweater and a pair of boots, and take a walk through the forest with the one you love.


So excited to share a few shots from my walk in Bridlewood with Brittany and Zach; two of the sweetest friends anyone could ask for.

danielle + mark | pebble wedding album


It's getting chilly. And I'm a mom now, which means I'm no longer able to go through an entire winter without a proper jacket. (Seriously, if you know me well, you probably know I typically brave the Canadian winter in a thick sweater and mittens, or opt to stay inside entirely.) But over the weekend Ryan and I popped into the brand new Tanger outlets and I'm now the happy owner of a fur-lined, super warm coat. 

In honour of the arrival of November and the chilly weather that comes with it, I'm bringing you way back to a sunny day in July. Danielle and Mark's Calabogie wedding was one of my favourites from this season, and I was so excited to put this album together a few weeks ago!

Here's a little peek into their 8" linen album in "pebble," with a beautifully engraved cover. 









Also shown here is the matching 4" leather mini book! This little guy came with me to the wedding show so that I could show off Danielle and Mark's wedding to all of my new 2015 and 2016 clients. So fun!
